Introduction
When I joined the team, BontiqueOne was already live on Bontique’s design system and used by corporate HR teams. While functional, it didn’t fully support users: key flows were complex, there was almost no useful analytics, and the experience felt inconsistent.
I was responsible for evolving it without disrupting existing users. I focused on simplifying core flows, unifying patterns, and expanding functionality for enterprise clients through gradual, low-risk improvements.
This case study module outlines that process of iteratively improving clarity, consistency, and functionality while maintaining stability for existing users.

Order Flow
A major challenge was that this flow was deeply interconnected with nearly all aspects of the Bontique ecosystem. Any change had to account for complex dependencies and interactions across the ecosystem.
I led an end-to-end redesign grounded in flow analysis, user feedback analysis, and system constraints, focusing on reducing complexity while preserving ecosystem integrity.

Key Improvements
Reduced checkout wizard from 5 to 3 steps by consolidating decision points and implementing new features, resulting in ~60% faster completion time and improved conversion rate;
Standardized action logic across order types, reducing cognitive load and improving predictability of user behavior;
Improved handling of edge cases, decreasing user drop-off in exception scenarios and reducing ambiguity in system responses;
Increased UI clarity and consistency through improved labeling, state design, and context-aware actions, leading to higher task success rates and fewer user errors.

Dashboard
The initial version of the dashboard offered limited, low-value information and did not sufficiently reflect user needs.
I postponed the redesign until I had gained a solid understanding of the product, user needs and pain points, and business context through my work on other parts of the system.
According to user feedback collected by the in-house team, the redesigned dashboard significantly improved usability, increased task efficiency, and reduced support demand.

Result
The new design solutions significantly improved usability, reduced task completion time and errors, and lowered support load across internal teams.
Beyond this product, several of the insights we surfaced contributed to improvements across other parts of the ecosystem such as Bontique-Check, Redemption Website, and BontiqueShop.
This project reinforced the importance of driving systemic change while preserving familiar user behavior.
